I have several IMAP accounts as well as the default POP account in Outlook
2003.
Recently, one of the IMAP accounts has developed a disturbing feature -
whenever I click on an incoming message it, automatically MARKED FOR DELETION
(line through the item, greyed ou.t)
I use a lot of rules on the inbox, so that messages are automatically sent
to subfolders before opening. This not only happens to messages in the
inbox, but also in all subfolders.
It occurrs to me that messages are behaving as if they Spam. But I've
checked my spam filters and the address these messages are coming from -
they're all from the same address, they're notices of subscriptions to a
list I run - is specifically ALLOWED in the Spam list. Moreover, the
messages aren't being moved to the Spam folder, they're being complete
deleted. Because it's an IMAP account, they disappear completely, even on the
server - just because I read them!
Anyone else ever have this problem, or have any suggestions?
