I'm currently developing with the Bedework calendaring application that sends
out invitations via email to various clients, including Outlook. The
calendaring data (set in ical format) is contained in the body of the email
and has occasionally shown the buttons.
I've been unable to get my email containing an .ics file to be recognised as
a Meeting request, instead Outlook 2007 sees it as a plain email. I've set
the header to be text/calendar;method=REQUEST;charset="us-ascii" (and also
set the charset to UFT-8 in case) to try and force the header but so far,
I've had no luck in getting Outlook to show the accept/decline buttons.
I'd be grateful for any pointers in getting Outlook 2007 to recognise the
data. Do I need to attach the file as well (which I gather Google does)?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
