Messages dissapearing from Yahoo mail

I neved used Outlook to check my emails and when I found out that Outlook has
been downloading messages from my yahoo account, I just deleted the
corresponding email account information from Outlook. Today, when I was using
my browser to read my emails, I found out that my inbox was empty, but that
my old emails were all in the Outlook inbox. Seems to me that Outlook deleted
all the messages in the Yahoo mail server. Now, how can I get these emails
back to the Yahoo server and get rid of these emails in Outlook?

If you have only POP3 access to Yahoo, then you can't.

Yahoo! does not have IMAP access, that I know of. Without IMAP access, there
is no way to get the messages back on the server.

Gmail got IMAP, so can I get these messages to the Gmail server? And how if
possible?

I don't quite understand, how do I move the emails on the Gmail server? Sorry
about this, but this is the first time I had to deal with email problems.
