I use OE 6, XP, IE7, Office 2003
I'm not a technie, so pls bear with me.
For years the email from WOW! portal has be going to my OE. Last week people
starting getting bounce messages saying I was over quota. WOW! Cust Serv told
me to log into my email through the WOW portal and lo and behold there were
950 messages which caused the bounce notice. The tech said I needed to
contact Microsoft. I didn't because it started working again.

I haven't had a problem for 8yrs until last week??

Today, the messages are still sitting on the server again and not
transferring to OE.
Cust Serv and I went through the Properties and everything is correct. I
have also checked Tools Accounts Properties- to make sure the box that says
leave messages on server is not checked.

Ideas? Thank you.

You don't need to contact Microsoft, you need to delete your 950
messages from the server. Contact your ISP if you need help to do that.

For questions how to configure Outlook Express, please ask in an Outlook
Express group, as per the previous reply.

You deleted the 950 message from the server, but people still get bounce
messages? Or what exactly is the problem, as you state below "it started
working again"?

If it's an OE problem, then post in an OE group.

Last week people got the over quota message when emailing me. I went through
the WOW! portal to check my 'web mail'. There were 950 messages sitting there
some of which did not forward to Outlook Express and some that did. The
timeframe was about a week. Since some transferred to OE I didn't realize
there was a problem. The over quota messages was my first inkling something
wasn't working correctly. That's how this all started.

As previously instructed to I found the OE group to post in.

After doing this, did you empty the trash (or deleted items) folder on the
server?
