Messages going to Junk even though they are in Address Book and safe domains

I have seen several posts about this, but no resolution. I regularly
find messages in my Junk E-mail folder that are from recipients that
are all of the following:

1) in my Address Book
2) from domains that are in my safe domains list
3) addresses to which I send messages regularly (not sure if Entourage
cares about this last one)

It is an intermittent issue. In other words I may get 100 messages from
the sender and only one will go in the Junk Filter. This is an IMAP
account and it has no rules defined for it, so I don't see why I would
need to check my rules - as has been suggested by a well-qualified
poster in the past.

My Junk setting is Low. I am using Entourage 2004 11.3.2 on Tiger
10.4.6. This has been happening for months and it is a serious problem
not to be able to trust the filter to allow known good senders/domains
through. I have to parse my junk filter every day and I frequently find
messages that I normally would get (and that I need to get!). I checked
my Entourage database with the database utility, which found no
problems. No idea how to fix this. Maybe a spam filter filter?

I get the impression that this is a common problem and if we all chime
in, maybe we can figure it out and get a fix!

All the best,

Jon

Since the 11.2.3 update Entourage on 10.4.6 has become unreliable in
many ways more that just the Junk Mail Filter. It now crashes and I
send error reports at least five times a day. I hope MS is reading
them?

Right now, Rules that were made prior to the update work 50% of the
time. Rules made after do not work at all. I have a Rule to place all
mail that comes in with [SPAM] in the subject in the Junk Mail Folder.
Only half of it is going in, the half stays in the Inbox. Mail that is
real and is sent to the Junk Mail folder and I mark it as "not junk
mail" and get the pop up window to classify it fails with all future
mail. I am always clicking the accept mail for this domain and it gets
put in the list but does not work and it ends up on the Junk Mail
folder. I feel I am always setting this for the same mail continuously,
but it no longer works. I have verified that the domain gets place in
the list and it's there, but no joy in proper operation.

If it weren't for the fact that the update changed the database, I'd
revert to the last version in a second everything worked wonderfully
there. The new features are not worth the problems that I now have.
