messages moving to sent items..

When I reply to a message in my inbox, outlook seems to
move the message to the sent items box. Its not copying
them, it's literally moving the messages.

I want outlook to save a copy of sent items, but not to
move items from the inbox to the sent items box.

FYI, running w2K, sp4 (reverted back to sp3 to see if that
was the issue), office 2000 pro, sr1.
