messages not appearing in sent items list

I've been getting errors on messages sent saying server was interrupted,
please resent message from sent items folder - prior to today, the messages
were there and I could resend - beginning today, they are not showing up - in
fact now no messages are being copied to sent folder - any ideas?

Is there any antivirus email integration enabled or anything that might be
blocking the messages? Disable it if there is.
