Before I installed .NET on my Win2k, Office2K machine, my ACCESS application to find and email data by Excel spreadsheet at 10:00 AM every day worked perfectly with Lotus Notes
When I installed .Net Notes would no longer send the mail automatically, but always went only to the edit screen for me to send manually. - This rather defeats the object of an automatic process
Thinking that this was some new feature of .NET serving no other prupose than not to work with notes, I switched over to Outlook Express, found the setting about not warning if another application tries to send a mail (Under the security tab), and then Notes did work OK till the next day
So I switched over to Outlook express. (It's against company policy, but I have special permission for this one application)
To my surprise, today Outlook express opened in the edit window and I had to send manually
I have tracked this down specifically to some interaction between ACCESS 2000 and the .NET framework (2003 version 60day trial). (with the various pre requisutes
As I write, I cannot send out from Lotus Notes without going via the edit window, but I can with Outlook Express
Does anyone know why Notes interoperability has been crippled, or why even Outlook express doesn't work sometimes. It seem to have something to do with leaving the machine on overnight, and is proving to be extremely annoying
Thank
(I'm using the standard sendobject method, and it is the edit parameter that is being ignored
