messages not sent if reply but are sent if type in e-amil address

I have just started using outlook 2007 (on XP). If I compose and email -
including writing the address it is fine and the message is sent.

However, if someone e-mails me and I use the reply function the email
doesn't get sent - it hangs around in the outbox and says message not sent
above the space for the address (does the same if I chose reply to all) Any
help would be gratefully recieved.
