When I shut down Entourage, all of my messages are purged from the trash. How do I prevent this? I don't want them deleted from the trash.

Thanks.

Check your schedules.

Hi Diane. I am not sure what you mean by "check your schedules". But I think I have solved my problem. I deleted my account and then created a new one and the problem has gone away. But maybe you can help me with something else. Every time I boot up my computer, something called "My day" appears. I don't want it to. Do you know how I can hide it so that I don't see it?

Thanks.

Schedules are on the Tool menu. They allow you to have events occur at
specific times. Among the common schedules (one I have, in fact) is one to
empty the Deleted Items folder on Quitting Entourage.

Schedules can delete messages, but it sounds like under the Options tab in
your Account you had selected a Delete after XX days set.

If you want to keep My Day from opening, at the bottom of the My Day
window, click on the right most icon for preferences. Uncheck "open at
login."
