We have a client using Outlook 2003 - whenever he composes a message in
Plain Text (or replies to a message received in Plain Text) the recipient
will see his message as just a bunch of question marks.
If you look at an outgoing message on client's machine in the Outbox before
it is sent it is showing as (I think) Japanese characters - certainly not the
plain English which he entered.
So somehow the plain text setting has been over-ridden and Outlook thinks it
should send the message in Japanese ??! We can find nothing to over-ride this
...... can anyone help us please?
The final clue to this mystery is that the client has just returned from
Japan where he was using his machine on hotel and public Wi Fi networks.
