Messages turn into folders when I move them to different folders

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

When I move a message from my inbox folder to another subfolder the message sometimes appears as both a message and a folder. The folder is empty. It's driving me crazy. If I delete the folder, the message is also deleted. Anyone else experience this or know how to fix it?

I am having the same problem and more. Messages appear as folders, but contain no content. In addition, Entourage appears to have removed the messages in my sub folders off the server. No solution as of yet.

I too am having the same issue since I downloaded software "upgrade" this AM. i am completely freaking out as entire folders are disappearing!!!!!! What up Microsoft?

I am having the same problem and more. Messages appear as folders, but contain
no content. In addition, Entourage appears to have removed the messages in my
sub folders off the server. No solution as of yet.

I seem to remember reporting this. My Spotlight cache is hosed and I'm
having to re-index right now. I'll get back if I find out anything.

For users who are experiencing the message turning info folders issue...

1) What are the specific steps you took to move the messages? Did you use
drag and drop or did you use Entourage menus...?

2) Does this only happen after you move the messages?

3) Some mentioned that sub folders are disappearing in Entourage...can you
please elaborate and provide step-by-step descriptions?

Lastly, if anyone's comfortable sending me sample emails so that I can
investigate further, please send samples (drag the emails to your desktop
and zip them up) to huchin AT microsoft DOT com.
