Messages when starting Word 2003 - template name change ~$

Dear all,

When I'am starting Word I get several messages. When I look at the global
templates that are being loaded I see that there are templates in the list
with strange names. For example I see dat Opstart.dot is loaded and the
~$pstart.dot is not loaded. How can I remove these wrong global templates
from the list of templates that have to be loaded?

You shouldn't see ~$pstart.dot loaded as a global template since it is
a temp file.

When a document is opened an Owner file is created. This holds the
user info of the individual that currently has the document open. This
is a temp file and is deleted when the document is closed. However if
an error should occur such as an IPF then Word is unable to delete the
Owner file. So the next time the document is opened, Word "sees" that
an Owner file exists and presents the message, "file is in use". I've
also noticed that this can happen if you manually delete the Owner
file but the document isn't released from memory.

Perhaps if you can provide the exact error message you are
encountering and the version of Word you are using we can help resolve
the issue.
