I need suggestions on a problem one of my users is having
with his calendar. Every day, when he starts Exchange,
he gets a message reminder for one of his recurring
meetings. When he hit's dismiss, an error comes up:
Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again.
When he presses snooze:
Cannot postpone the reminder.
If I bring up his account in OWA, the event does not
exist. Inside Exchange, it does. If I try to delete the
event from inside Exchange:
The messaging interface has returned an unknown error.
If the problem persists, restart Outlook.
Obviously, I've restarted outlook several times. I've
also started it using the /cleanreminders option.
Nothing I do will remove the event or get rid of the
event notification.
Specifics - Server is clustered Advanced Server 2000
(Active/Passive) with SP4. Client is Outlook 2000 SR1.
The recurring meeting is set for every wednesday at 9:00,
and he's been receiving the notice for meetings that
ocurred 2 weeks ago and later.
Is it possible that sync'ing with a Dell Axim is doing
something to his meetings? In any case, we still should
be able to delete the meetings, which we can't.
Any help is appreciated.
