Messaging Subsystem Spooler Error message

My Outlook mail is forzen. i cannot send or receive
messages. The error message reads: Messaging Subsystem
Spooler. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

I'll throw my hat into this ring as well.

Outlook has been working fine for months/years. And then for no apparant
reason (don't know what the wife did in my absence) it stops functioning
with the message "Microsoft Windows (TM) messaging subsystem spooler has
encountered a problem and needs to close"

I'm running Outlook 2000 with Windows XP.

Funny thing is that Outlook Express continues to work fine and I'm now
receiving my e-mail through OUtlook Express.

I have the exact same problem as him with a "Microsoft Windows (TM)
Messaging Subsystem Spooler has encountered a problem and must close" with
subsequent loss of e-mail capability and hanging up of Outlook when I try to
close.

Outlook had been working fun with no problems for months/years until a few
days ago. No added programs or configuration changes occured to the system
that I'm aware of.

One other thing, even though Outlook isn't working, Outlook Express is. I'm
able to receive all our e-mail through OE so I know it's not asn ISP problem.

Any advice would be appreciated

Any luck in fixing this problem. I started getting the same problem. Please

I resolved this error by installing office sp1 and sp2
