Messed up keys in Office XP

Mike Harris

I am helping out at a school where two keyboards are messed up. On
machine A, when I am in any of the Office programs, typing a "1"
produces a "2". This does NOT happen in non-Office programs. All
other keys work correctly. On machine B, the problem is that typing a
"2" produces a "1".

Help, please.

Have you scanned for Virus and SpyWare?

Somebody may have been messing around with autocorrect.

Select "Tools>Autocorrect Options..." (it may just be listed as
"Tolls>Autocorrect..." - I no longer have Office XP and am working from
memory)
On the Autocorrect tab scroll through the list at the bottom to see if
somebody has set it up to replace 1 with 2 (or 2 with 1). If so delete these
lines
