Messenger Status in Outlook 2007

I put in an earlier post where i enquired of the possibility of knowing when
my contacts are online and if that can be displayed in Outlook 2007. I wanted
to know first of all if Windows Live Messenger is different from MSN
messenger. Also, i am unbale in activating the online status of 'person
names' under the Other Tab in Options since it is greyed. Can anyone help me
in knowing how i can get my Outlook 2007 to display online status and i add
that i presently have Windows Live Messenger.
