Messenger webcam??

I not used a mac before and have just got this one, it's neat! But my daughter uses messenger (a lot!) but would like the use of the webcam.

My question is how? or can it be done.

Not yet. Look for the next version sometime during the 1st half of the
year.

Or, both of you can try SKYPE, it works fine with a web cam on the Mac.

Microsoft Messenger on the Mac does not support sound or video.

As Bob said, either install Skype, or use Mac iChat. IChat connects via the
AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) protocol.
