Metadata\Data remnant removal Excel 03 and Access 03

Hi does anyone know if there is a function or bit of VBA script I can apply
to remove private\restorable data from both an Excel flat spreadsheet and a
3D access database? We have visually removed all data but I'm not convinced
everything is gone.

I guess similar to Word 07's function in file properties or somewhere which
I thought not only removed metadata but everything. In Australia and trying
to find out tonight - today America time.

Any direction appreciated. Have some Level 2 help desk\applications support
expertise so steering in the right direction is OK.

Else I"m thinking export as a .csv and maybe pass thru notepad then back
into a new Excel document, and a quick rebuild of as much as I can of the
Access db with key relationships and properties replicated.
