Hi,
I've got a problem removing Office 2000 SR-1 from a Windows 2000 Server
running Citrix Metaframe XPa.
I wanted to install the SP3 but I received the error "Some default settings
in Microsoft Office 2000 setup do not work properly on a Windows Terminal
Server. To install Office on Terminal Server, you must use the instructions
and tools available in your Office 2000 Resource Kit or at
http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK". Now, I know all about installing
Office using the TERMSRVR.MST transform file, and I have been assured that
Office was installed correctly, and Word, Excel etc. certainly all run fine.
OK, so I've decided that I'll scrap the current installation of Office and
start from a fresh install. Unfortunately, clicking Remove, or Change, or
Repair all eventually bring up the above error message. Running setup.exe
with any "Force Rebuild" or "Remove" settings does exactly the same. I've
also attempted to install fresh over the top (both with or without the
TRANSFORMS="path\TERMSRVR.MST" setting) but I still I get the same message.
Please can someone suggest a way in which I could totally remove Office so
that I can start from the beginning with a new install.
Thank-you,
Mike
