methods and strategy for update of fields and records via online or Excel ?

Jack-of-all-traits

I have a database in access 2002 xp pro written to hold
data of the following:

Automobile Dealers and the cars they have on lots.

Thus we have the actual car dealer address and company
name, and this is related to the type of cars they have on
their lots.

For example Toyoto Camry.

However the cars have the
i) brand = Camry
ii) Manufacturer = Toyota

The problem is that when i email all the contacts to update
thier list with me, they reply with "Toyota Camry" and not
"Toyota", or not just "Camry". Also many reply by putting
all the info onto one long line, or the formatting is off, or
they reply with a pdf file etc.... I need only one name or
brand per line so I can cut and paste this into my form
box that automatically adds the strings to the correct
fields.

So I thougth it would be easier to send all dealers either
a) excel spreadsheet to fill out that is like my internal form i use

or

b) post a form on a website that will only allow the entry
of data that meets all the criteria of the "*" must fill out field
and validation criteria etc., then the form is emailed to me
by my ISP company for me to manipulate.

Question:

So what is the best method in your opinion to collect this
type of data? and if so, how can I export or extract this
data from excel or the online form and have it placed into
my database tables without doing it manually cutting and
pasting since there are about 1000 records.? Is there a
way to map each excel field to a specific field in my
database ? or map each excel cell into a specific form
field ?
