Opening Outlook 2003 and received an error message that
stated "sorry for the inconvenience but Microsoft Outlook
must close. click to send an error report"
Application log mentioned something about a MFC42.dll
that is the problem.
I didn't find much out there but ended up fixing it
myself. I had to removed the Business Contact Manager
from add/remove programs. Apparently, at one point in
time someone had tried to run the SP1 for it and it asked
for the disk and they aborted. It stopped working after
that.
something to try in case anyone is having this problem.
On Microsoft's website it mentions to remove Xupiter
(spyware) if you are getting a error message related to
MFC42.dll in IE6.
