Miccrosoft Outlook 2000 Premium Edition

Upon launching Outlook my display settings change to low 8 bit from high 32
bit color. The display setting retun to normal when I quit Outlook.
I have reinsatted MS Office, and installed all updates to no avail. Anyone
encounter this before?
