Microphone Recommendations

Hello! I'd like to use OneNotes to record lectures. I have a fairly
inexpensive omni directional mic, which is ok, but I'm thinking that a
directional mic pointed at the speaker would be a better choice.

If my thinking is correct, any recommendations for a not too expensive mic
(like around $20.00)? If my thinking is not correct, please let me know what
the better choice of mic is.

A directional mic would be a better choice; though lamentably I can't
recommend one particular model over another. Maybe find a local Radio
Shack or other retailer with a good return policy, or floor models they'll
let you try right there in the store, and give it a whirl?
