How do i properly make v1 paragraph to become like v2?
(in my example i used manual spacing which is not the correct way as it
makes the lines not properly align to the 1st line) Thanks for the help!

v1
You need a computer: In order to take advantage of digital technology, you
really
need access to a computer. You can use a digital camera with a photo
printer, but if you want to email photos to family or store your photo
collection you will need a computer.

v2

really
need access to a computer. You can use a

with a photo printer, but if you want to
email photos to
family or store your photo collection

My Problem:

You need a computer: In order to take advantage of digital technology, you
really need access to a computer. You can use a digital camera with a photo
printer, but if you want to email photos to family or store your photo
collection you will need a computer.

Format the paragraph to have a hanging indent of the size you want the
subsequent lines indented.
or
use a two column borderless table

hi i am trying to format it but the whole sentence gets indent instead of the
btm 2 example:

• Never wait for developing: With an LCD screen, you can view and share your
snapshots instantly.

when i highlight "your snapshots instantly" right click select paragraph and
change the left indentation, the whole sentence gets updated instead of the 3
words i highlighted.. please help me

I didn't tell you to change the left indentation. I told you to set a
hanging indent? A hanging indent applies to the whole paragraph. The first
line will be at the margin, the subsequent lines will be indented by the
amount you set for the hanging indent. You will find hanging indent on the
paragraph format dialog (which you can access by clicking the tiny arrow
bottom right of the Paragraph section of the Home tab > indents and spaceing
special > hanging indent.

i tried the special (hanging indent) but the text above still flows the
hanging indent:

Before:
• Never wait for developing: With an LCD screen, you can view and share your
snapshots instantly.

After: (i highlight the 2nd line words, set the hanging indent by 2cm but
the 1st line follows the indent)

• Never wait for developing: With an LCD screen, you can view and share
-------------your snapshots instantly.

Don't highlight the second line (though it shouldn't matter). Highlight the
whole paragraph. Paragraph parameters apply to the paragraph

.. Never wait for developing: With an LCD screen, you can view and
share your snapshots instantly

I assume that the paragraph is allowed to wrap naturally at the margins? In
which case it should work as stated. If not, send your document (or a part
of it) to the link on my web site home page so I can see what *exactly* you
are doing.
