Microsoft 2007 Task

With Microsoft 2003-when Tasks were assigned to me, an update was not sent
until I saved and closed the task. Only then was an update sent to the
assigner. With Microsoft 2007, updates are sent automatically on all opened
Tasks without my consent. How do we stop this? Please advise. Thanks.

Can you please post detailed steps to reproduce your issue, including which
page you are on and your exact click-by-click steps you are using?

My supervisor assigns me Tasks on Outlook. In the past, I would leave
several Tasks that I am working on open to allow me to make entries
throughout the day. At the end of the day, I "Save & Close"- this will then
send an update to my supervisor. This was in 2003 version. Now with our
2007 upgrade, all Tasks that I leave open and make entries to will
automatically send updates to my supervisor without me having to "Save
&Close"- yesterday, it sent 8 updates on one task while I was making an
entry. Our IT section is trying to figure this out, but to no avail. We
tried Tools>Options>Mail Setup>Send/Recieve> and unchecked Tasks, no success.
What should we do?
