Microsoft 2008 business edition upgrade

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC Hi I had download the full version of Microsoft home and student edition, them went and download the upgrade for the business edition and when I go to do the upgrade is telling me that i can,t install it in the drive because a newer version is installed, what do I need to do? If doesn't work I need my refund I will give you the order number as per your request

First let me make it clear that you are not communicating with Microsoft or
the vendor that handles the on-line distribution of the software. Those here
are users assisting other users... There is nothing we can do regarding
refunds or the like. You'll need to take that up with the vendor or
Microsoft Customer Service.

Now, the reason you can't apply the Business Edition upgrade to the Home &
Student Edition is that it is the same *version* of the software. Upgrades
pertain to moving from a qualifying previous version to the newer version...
IOW, if you have Office 2004 you can upgrade *it* to Office 2008 at a lower
price than what it would cost to purchase Office 2008 outright. If you have
the original disk from a qualifying previous version of Mac Office, insert
it when the Business Edition installer asks for the prior version.

What you're trying to do is make a lateral switch from one edition of 2008
to another, & that is not a part of the upgrade program. If your needs have
changed or you just want to have the Business Edition you'll have to
purchase that edition, not upgrade to it.
