"Microsoft Access cannot open this file"

Mario

Added a new computer to the network (OS is Vista). I have the tables residing
on a server. When I tried to open a link table from the new computer, I am
getting this message: "The file is located outside your intranet or on an
untrusted site. Microsoft Access will not open the file due to potential
security problem." I have 9 other computers running XP with no problems.

You forgot to trust the local intranet when you set up the new pc. Do that
and Access will open or connect to the db file on your lan without that
security warning.

Sorry, I don't know how to trust the local intranet in Vista if it's not
through Internet Explorer. Did you do it with elevated permissions? A
regular user might not be able to make the registry changes. The settings
wouldn't "stick".

How do I do that?. If it is thru Internet Explorer I did that
