Microsoft Access File between two computers using Groove Account

Marizel

I am trying to create a database using access in my desktop and since I use
groove between my laptop and my desktop, I can see the database file (for
example, the contacts file) in my laptop.

The problem starts when I am adding information in either the desktop or
laptop. So let us say, I add a new contact in my desktop, it will create
another file in my laptop, with "Copy" next to the file. So I end up having
another copy of the same file. I can't see the new contact in the original
file but I can see it on the copy file. And if I add another new contact, I
have another file (now it is 3!!)...

Question, is how can I add a new information in my database file that does
not create another copy file?

Please help!!

Thank you,
Marizel

Hi

I assume that you desk top is the mail application but sometimes you may
copy this on to a lap top and then add records to the lap top. Correct ???

If so all you need to do is to import the new records on your desk top

It may be that you have added records on to more than one table - no
problems just import the new records from each table

I would not just copy the table as you lose any relations ships you have on
the main application - so just import the new records and that will do it
