Microsoft Access was unable to create an MDE database

I am receiving the "Microsoft Access was unable to create an MDE
database" message and I've read through all of the previous postings on
this. I am running Access2000 SP3 off of an XP OS, my code all
compiles, I have repaired and compacted, I do not have anywhere near
500 forms on this application. I have previously made this same
application into an .mde hundreds of times. So, I do not know why now
(all of a sudden) it won't work. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, I pulled up the article you referenced. None of those items
apply. I found Article ID 814858 that talks about Access not
responding when trying to create an MDE and I did go through and
decompile and then recompile. Still no luck. I only had one ActiveX
component which was just a Common Dialog box. I removed that and still
nothing. I removed several tables that I felt were not necessary in
case my recent additions had put me over the limit. Still nothing.
Any other ideas? I really don't know what else to do. I'm going to
create another new database and re-import and re-link all my tables and
try this again.

I agree.

The only other things I know of relate to conditional compilation constants
and automated makes.
