Microsoft Ad in Calendar

I created a calendar event in OL 2007 and then selected an attendee to send
the event to someone else. When I did so and closed out of the event, I
found that some text had been automatically entered into the Notes section
of the event. The text was as follows:

=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=

~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~

To me, this looks like an ad from Microsoft for Live Search Maps. Has anyone
ever gotten this before? It took me 3 times to delete this text. The first
two times I deleted it and saved the entry, the text returned. I've used OL
for years and already use Live Search Maps, but have never seen this. I have
over 3,000 events in my calendar as well.

that's from the live maps addin. go to the office orb, select the live maps
options and disable adding the text. Or, better yet, uninstall it as
microsoft is no longer offering it due to issues it causes with outlook.

Thanks. I never noticed that option before. As for them discontinuing Live
Maps, that's a shame. I liked being able to quickly insert maps and
directions into my Outlook appointments.

if you have it and it doesn't cause issues for you, you can certainly keep
using it (I do). But if you lose the set up file you won't be able reinstall
it or install it on a new computer.
