Our HR administrator requires to schedule interview candidates and the way
to do this in Outlook is painful.
The basic problem is that in an outlook "meeting" or "appointment", all
attendees and resources are reserved for the same time window. But that is
not the case with interviews.
John comes in for a series of interviews at 10AM.
The HR administrator meets John at 10. The rest of the schedule goes like
this
10:30 Abraham, 11:00 Bob, 11:30 Charlie, 12:00 David ...
This needs to be setup as four appointments, each with a resource (interview
room).
What I'd like is a mechanism to schedule this in one operation.
New->Interview
Start time: 10:30
Interviewers: Abraham, Bob, Charlie, David
Candidate: John
Resource: Interview room #3
Attachment: Resume
The calendar tool should resolve conflicts if appropriate and send out
individual meeting requests.
Should a change occur, the HR administrator should have only one interview
appointment to update.
If this is doable with the standard Outlook application, I'd appreciate some
suggestions on how to do this.
Thanks,
