I'm trying to update my Microsoft Office 2004 and I seem to be missing the component plugin. Is there anyway to get this back?

Let's be sure you are checking in the correct location:

/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Microsoft Component Plugin"

If it is missing you will need to do a reinstall of Office.

Thanks Diane...I wasn't looking there. I found it and it says I'm up to 11.3.9 but I still can't seem to install 11.4.0...any suggestions?

Hmmmm, 11.3.9 would be a really old version. Let's be sure you have Office
2004 installed. In applications, does it say Microsoft Office 2004 on the
folder? Often users get confused thinking they can update from Office X to
Office 2004 with an updater.

Updaters require previous updaters. You will first need to update to 11.5.0.
This is a combo updater. This update includes all the improvements that were
released in previous Office 2004 updates. 59mb

Then there are 4 more updaters that must be installed in the correct order
to get to 11.5.4.

See the links on this page for the updaters.

See this link for help understanding the difference between update and
upgrade.

Does this help?
