Hi Lynn or whomever-
I do not have any .ldb files stored in the same folder
that my database is located. When I open the production
database to open as an exclusive user only, it says
that, "you do not have the necessary permissions to use
the database. Have your system administrator or the person
that created this object to establish the appropriate
permissions for you. I am the system administrator, but
not the owner of the DB and I have assigned myself all
rights and privileges to the database, tables, reports,
macros and queries. But When I open the shortcut to the
database to open as an exclusive user is says, "you cannot
open the database for exclusive use because another user
has the database open or because you do not have
permissions to open exclusively. I verify who is in the
database, which is, a user with data entry permissions.
I am so confused!
Thank you for you help so far. Also, I apologize for
sending this email to you directly. When I click on reply
(E-mail) it does not do anything.

Subject: Microsoft Jet Database Engine Error
Hi-
I have admin privileges to the database, I am the Admin.
Whenever I make an attempt to do any updates I receive
this error:
"You do not have exclusive access at this time. If you
proceed to make changes, you may not be able to save them
later."
Take note that noone is logged into the database but
myself. What could possibly be the issue? I have
verified my security rights and privileges. I have full
admin rights to all of the tables, queries, forms, macros
and the database itself. Could an import of the database
have caused the security to be invalid? If there is any
information that you could pass, please do so.
Thanking you in advance!
