Microsoft Doc Imager and Windows Vista

I am running Windows Vista and Office 2007. When I print using the Microsoft
Document Imager and .tif files, it allows me to save the file. However, when
I go to the location I saved it, it doesn't show up. If I try to save the
file again through the program, I see my original file.

I see other people are having problems associating .tif with the software,
but I haven't seen anything about this disappearing/reappearing act. Could
you please point me in the direction of some help (if it exists) or provide
some advice? I'm stuck.

As a side note, this is the only program I've come across that says I don't
have permission to save to my second hd. I'm providing this information just
in case it is related. My workaround is to save it to my first hd and then
move it over... only I can't move it because I can't see it.

We saved some vital information via this method and found that the software
was saving it as a temp internet file. The only way we were able to retrieve
it was to save it from the temp file onto a usb drive and take it back to my
XP laptop. Ironically, when trying to open the temp internet file it would
show the file for a few seconds and then blank it out and give an error
message that the file is unavailable.

This is quite frustrating, to say the least. I appreciate any assistance
and apologize if there has already been asked elsewhere. I was unable to
locate it.
