Microsoft Document image Writer

T

Tom

I've recently discovered Microsoft Document Image Writer
and would like to use this driver to print my Publisher
project to so the file can be e-mailed to users for
viewing. I'm trying to come up with a format that can be
e-mailed and viewed. I'm hoping the MDI writer will give
me a format everyone can read.

My question is what are the requirements on the users
side for being able to read the MDI file created from the
Image Writer? Is there a download from Microsoft users
can install to read the MDI file types? When did this
feature become available? I noticed the option after
upgrading to Office 2003 but was told the option existed
in Office 2000. Is there a better option for creating a
format that is readable by anyone I would mail the file
to? I tried to save my project as html and e-mail the
html file but when I do the graphics do not stay aligned.

Thanks in advance for you comments and suggestions.

They need the Microsoft Office Document Imaging application, which is only
available with Office, and must be installed on their system.

No.

2002/XP products.

Could have been 2000, not sure. But I know it was in 2002.

PDF is preferred. Visit http://www.publishermvps.com/general/sharing.html
for more information.

This is a known issue.
