microsoft DV AVI won't play in PP 2000 pro

Premiere 6.5 -> make a movie using microsoft DV AVI codec
option (renders faster than standard microsoft AVI)

Runs fine in premiere and media player but get error in
power point (vids:dsvd missing) my guess is that the
codec for this is missing in pp2000 pro. how do I get
this codec and/or solve this problem?

You'll probably have to search the web for the codec, or contact the
Premiere (Adobe) staff and ask them.

You're right in that the message you are seeing is what crops up when
using a proprietary codec that's missing.

It might be easiest to use a more standard codec. There are a number
