Microsoft Enterprise vs Microsoft Suites

PM

Would someone please explain to me the difference between Microsoft
Enterprise 2007 and Microsoft Office Suites 2007? Is Enterprise a stand alone
program or is it used in conjunction with Office Suites.

Enterprise is sold to large corporate accounts. You have to "be somebody"
to get it. Suites are sold through the retail and OEM computer channels.
If you have to ask, you don't stand a snowball's chance of seeing Enterprise
any time soon.

Enterprise is also offered thru the Home Use Program. (My employer
participates.)

Right, but that's hardly a retail channel. MSFT takes care of volume
customers first. It's not a bad thing.

Not necessarily. It's available to those who have a volume license. Volume
licensing can be obtained for as few as 5 computers and Office 2007
Enterprise is also available to those who have MSDN subscriptions.

Office Enterprise 2007 is another Office suite. As Earle noted, it's
available to those who have a volume license agreement with Microsoft (and
MSDN subscribers). The primary difference between the various suites is the
applications they include. Basically, the Enterprise suite includes
everything except the Business Contact Manager for Outlook and MS
Accounting. (Although since they have a volume license they can obtain MS
Accounting and BCM if they want.) Here's a comparison of all of the suites:
