Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition 13.0.4 - EWS
and Exchange 2010 Email Delayed

Question:
We have just migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. We are
using Microsoft Entourage 2008 for Mac, Web Services Edition 13.0.4 on
our Mac clients and several of our users are experiencing issues where
there is a delay in receiving certain emails. The Exchange server is
receiving the email and it can be viewed on their iPhones or through
Webmail, but the Entourage client does not display them until hours
later. It is not all messages and we cannot determine anything
specific about the message that would be causing this. We have deleted
a couple of the user's mailboxes from the Exchange server, recreated
them from scratch and they are no longer having the issue. The problem
with this is they lose their Exchange calendar (the mail can easily be
moved local and then back up to the server). Has anyone else see this
behavior? Any suggestions?

It sounds like the local cache could e getting out of whack with the
server contents. Instead of deleting the user's mailbox on he exchange
server, simply delete the account in Entourage and recreate it - all
the data will be preserved on the exchange server and will be simply
re-synced back to the new entourage account.

if this does NOT solve the problem, then it indicates mail store
corruption at the exchange server and your exchange admins are going to
have to run some repair utilities on the mail store (and that's a pain
in the bum!).
