Microsoft excel crashes when there is no network connection present

Hi guys

i was wondering if anyone has had the same problem as me
evertime i disconnect my network cable from my compaq
armada E500 and try to use the tool bars in excel eg:Bold,
italic and underline excel crashes but when my network
cable is present all the tool bars work perfectley and
excel dosent crash .

Your responce will be much appreciated
