Microsoft Framework library

Every time I open Office 2004 (usually Word or Excel), I get the following
message: An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft
Framework Library". I have downloaded and installed all updates including
11.5.2 (did that today) but continue to get the error message. Any way I can
turn it off? I have the Student Teacher version and am using an iMac running
10.5.5.
