Microsoft Groove uninstall

Is there a firm way of removing this feature? I looked at it after installing
Office 2007, and now realize that I won't be needing it. I did find somewhere
in Microsoft's
pages a way to remove it...did so..all was well. But overnight, a Microsoft
Update was automatically run and required a reboot, and voila: Groove seems
to be back, running on my pc!? Help!
