microsoft home and student

Today I downloaded the trial version of home and student as I do not have the
funds to purchase the program right now. I attempted to use microsoft excel
and the program keeps telling me that all functions are locked and I ned to
convert my program. I have restarted my computer and restarted it agin and
nothing is working. What do I need to do to be able to use this trial version
on window xp.

Thanks,
Clueless

You need to activate it.
Office Button (the pizza!)-Excel Options (bottom R/H
side)-Resources-Activate.

Hello Gordon,

Thank you for your response. I followed your instructions but when I clicked
on the office button i was not given the option to click on Excel or Word
options to activate the trail download. Yesterday I was given a new product
key. When I went into both word and excel I entered the new key as I was
instructed to do. The program said that it was installing and to restart my
computer. Should I uninstall it and try again? Is there a limit to how many
times you can download the trial? The first time I downloaded it was last
year around the end of Nov.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You get one free trial period per computer. When the free trial
period expires, you must purchase the software if you wish to
continue to use it. You cannot uninstall and then reinstall the
free trial software to extend the free trial period.
