Microsoft Home Use Program and Reinstallation

R

Roberta

A couple of years ago I bought a copy of Microsoft Office XP
Professional through the Microsoft Home Use Program. Last month my
computer broke, was sent to HP and was returned fixed but with a fresh
OS.
Now, when I install my copy of Office it says that the product key is
invalid.
The computer name was changed when they reinstalled the OS, I do not
recall what my computer was called before it broke.
How can I get Office installed now?
Thanks a lot for any suggestion or phone number you may give me.

You need to contact Microsoft and obtain a valid product key: See the Home
Use FAQ and the section on technical support:
