I am trying to find information on the Microsoft image
writer for printing Word documents to a TIFF file.

Hi Neal,

The MS Office Document Image Writer is a printer
driver installed as part of Office 2003.

With it you can 'print to fax' (monochrome,
multipage, TIFF [FAX] files in 100, 200 or 300
DPI resolution or you can 'print' to

MS's MDI (MS Document Image) format
that can be opened in MS Office 2003 Document
Imaging (and from there can be saved as a full
color TIFF)
