The KB article confirms the issue that we are having. Most
specifically, when an Entourage user edits a single instance of a
recurring meeting (to invite someone else, or modify the subject or
body text). Entourage sees this as a duplicate item (same subject as
described in KB949114) and then scrambles the user's (invitee's)
calendar - making the modified instance show up as a single non-
recurring meeting and deleting the rest of the recurring instances
that were not modified.
Of course the meetings show up correctly for that user in Outlook -
but Entourage is permanently affected even after clearing the folder
cache for the user's calendar etc. OWA is affected as well, as this is
clearly a WebDAV issue as noted in the KB article.
These tests were done using Entourage 2008 12.1.5 and Exchange 2007
SP1 Rollup 3.
KB949114 indicates that this will be addressed in a future rollup.
However the notes for SP1 Rollup 4 and 5 make no mention of fixing the
issue.
