I realize you guys don't spend full time here, but can't SOMEthing be done
about the numerous "security patch" virus posts? Can't they be screened
out, or at least deleted?

It's a little embarassing for the company...

I am a teaching assistant at a university where hundreds of people have me
in their address book. I am currently getting about 200 MS virus emails per
day.

Fortunately, they are filtered out for the most part.
It's a little embarassing for the company...

yup yup, but (not to be mean) they are used to being attacked by viruses (it
would happen to any software company of this magnitude).

What I meant was the flagrant display of numerous viral posts in the
newsgroups. We IT wingnuts shrug it off for the most part, but there are a
lot of not-so-savvy users who aren't as jaded... and some will no doubt
mistake the messages as authentic in a Microsoft newsgroup.

Plus it's a blight.
