What is Microsoft Office 2003 Basic OEM and can I use it
with XP? It seems cheaper than the full version, and all
we need is Word and Excel. Thanks!

The following link compares various editions of Office 2003:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/howtobuy/compare.mspx

Office 2003 is compatible with Windows XP {Home or Professional}.

Office OEM editions are not available retail. OEM editions are only legally
available from Original Equipment Manufactures. OEM editions are tied to
computer in which first installed and cannot be move to another computer.
Support for OEM editions is not available from Microsoft except for updates
on the Office update site.
