Microsoft Office 2003

Bucklaw

I got a lovely message that says,"Couldn't find application path." This was
in add/remove. Re-booted. The program appears to have disappeared and in
reality it hasn't. Spyware usually comes with programs that don't let you
uninstall easily. I have sinced used the clean up utility, opps. Is Microsoft
Office 2003 trying to phone home? Will the product ever uninstall? Will free
ever mean without more work? This is almost as good as when I was told, "We
can't find an engineer," at Microsoft. The product has been out for how long
and it won't uninstall? Odd.
But on a serious note thanks for any help that you could provide. Tune in
next week for the adventures of....

Somewhere in your commentary I'm sure you have a question but I can't
seem to find it. What is the problem exactly? Are you trying to
uninstall Office 2003? If so, does the message "Couldn't find
application path" occur when you try to uninstall Office 2003 in
Add/Remove Programs? What 'clean up' utility did you try to use?

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

You can't just copy Office applications to another drive. They must be
installed. (The days of being able to copy applications from one location to
another have long been gone.)

Remember the good ole' days when you could do that? <sigh> Life was easier
then and it was also easier to bootleg software too. I wonder why they had
to screw things up? ;-)
