Microsoft Office 2004 Service Pack/Release 2

Well as the title above states i'm curious to find out whether anybody
knows if this is actually going to be released or not.

Originally I heard that this would have been released about July this
year, however we are now way past that point and there is no sign of
its existence on Microsoft's websites at all.

Have any of you wise/knowledgable people anything in relation to the
SP2's existence. If you do know of it would you also know what
features/issues/bugs etc. that the release is supposedly going to
resolve.

I'm just trying to find out as there are a few issues our company are
having with Entourage that are supposed to be fixed in this update.

Until MS announces it (usually when it's released) the contents, and
often the existence, of any update is under a non-disclosure agreement,
so anyone who knows can't tell you, and anyone who tells you probably
doesn't know.

I've not seen anything published by MS on an "SP2", so I don't know what
your July date refers to - perhaps I missed something. I know they
announced back in January that an update to Entourage would happen in
"the second half of 2005", but we're still well within that period:

Hi Matthew,

I don't know if or when SP2 will be released, but be sure to turn
automatic updates on if you want to be among the first to get any updates.

You can also visit the Microsoft web site http://www.microsoft.com/mac/
daily and check the download section.

I can tell you that features/issues/bugs in Microsoft products are
greatly influenced by what is posted in the microsoft mac newsgroups.

So while you are waiting for SP2, check Google Groups to find out
whether or not your list of wishes and issues matches topics that have
already been posted. If you have something to add, please add your
comments to the appropriate newsgroup (Entourage comments should be in
the Entourage newsgroups, etc).
